Expansion of Conveniences: Renewal, New Services, etc. of Study Korean

 

□ The Overseas Korean Foundation (OKF) (President: Young-Kon Kwon) has revealed that they are opening and providing an e-Library starting April 2010, where visitors can access over 1,340 e-books, including fairy tales, children's literature, history, portrait, culture, Korean novel, Korean history, domestic travel, etc., by renewing Study Korean (http://study.korean.net), a cyber Korean language lecture site.

 

□ Any member of Study Korean can use the e-Library service freely after logging-in. Young-Kon Kwon, President of the Overseas Korean Foundation (OKF) has revealed that “the Foundation will continuously expand the catalog of books according to the responses of the overseas Koreans for e-Library service.”

 

□ Study Korean provides new services such as “Today's Daily Routine,” “Korean traditional music,” etc., which are comment bulletin boards exclusively for members, and also provides study plans per stage by expanding the data room for teachers to “Plus” and “Advance” from the existing "Basic" stage, so that teachers of Korean language schools can utilize these study plans with more ease at actual sites of education.

 

□ Young-Kon Kwon, President of the Overseas Korean Foundation (OKF) said that “we have renewed the Study Korean site to improve the Korean language of overseas Koreans, and to activate the communities by providing high quality contents,” and also revealed his expectation that the “overseas Korean youths can grow as proud Koreans by feeling much closer to their motherland through this e-library service.” The end.
