□Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF) (President, Young-Kon Kwon) implements ‘2010 South African World Cup Promotion’ through Korean.net (www.korean.net) for reinforcing solidarity between domestic and overseas Koreans for 50 days starting from June1 to July 20.
□ Those netizens who want to participate can access to korean.net(http//www.korean.net/2010worldcup/index.jsp) and can participate in △sending support messages, △voting for expected winning teams of 16 strong countries, 8 strong countries, 4 strong countries and champion country and △in reporter activities.
□In particular, for reporter activities, participants can register news of overseas Koreans societies during the period of 2010 South African World Cup on korean.net and can reveal and post the same posting on individual Web space (Blog, twitter, cafe, community, etc) with Korean.net as sources.
□Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF) plans to pay each $200(USD) as the activity cost to 20 reporters with excellent activities until expiration of the promotion.
□President Young-Kon Kwon revealed that "this promotion is a good opportunity for overseas Koreans and domestic Koreans to become one through 2010 South African World Cup" and wished that "new vigor will be put into overseas Koreans societies through reporters’ activities."
□On the other hand, on June 17, it is planned that 400 chairmen of overseas Koreans Associations from 76 countries who participated in the ‘11th World Convention of chairmen of Overseas Koreans Associations’ will gather together at Hoingseong of Gangwon-Do for hosting support festival wishing the victory in the game between Korea-Argentina in order to promote communication and harmony.
