□ Study Korean (http://study.korean.net) for overseas Koreans, a Korean language education site operated by Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF)(president, Young-Kon Kwon) was selected as a recommended site for the youth during the second quarter of 2010 by Korea Communications Standards Commission. (Hereinafter called as KCSC)

 

☞ A selection system of recommended site for the youth was prepared in 2000 for helping sound use of Internet of the youth by selecting domestic (Korean language) sites which provide the youth with sound and useful information.

 

□ Recommended sites for the youth, which were selected in this time, are 10 sites such as Dokdo Research Institute, Busan cyber maritime museum, Ah ha Economy and etc including study Korean and the selection standards are friendliness with the youth, web accessibility and convenience, excellence of web design and etc.

 

□ Study Korean, which was selected as a recommended site for the youth, will be introduced for three years in the future through iteennet (www.iteennet.or.kr) operated by KCC and will be registered as a candidate for ‘Recommended sites for the youth of the year,’ which is awarded (Around December) to the most excellent sites among 40 (10 per quarter) sites selected by KCC in a year.

 

□ The Foundation has developed and operated study Korean from 2002 for expanding and providing online individual learning opportunity with the overseas youth as the target and is supporting Korean language learning of the overseas youth while providing Korean language and Korean cultural contents free of charge.
