Special presentation of overseas Koreans movies will be held in commemoration of 『the 5th World Korean Day』

- The movies will be presented at MiroSpace, Jongro from October 1 to October 5

- Representative movies of overseas Koreans movies directors whose capabilities are well recognized at home and abroad will be introduced

 

Special presentation of overseas Koreans movies, which feature joys & sorrows as well as dreams of the lives of overseas Koreans, will be held at MiroSpace located in Jongro from October 1 to October 5 in commemoration of the 5th World Korean Day.

 

This special presentation of overseas Koreans movies to be held under the main subject of overseas Koreans lives felt through movies introduces seven movies which show various lives of overseas Koreans such as 'Duman River' by Jang Ryul, a Korean Chinese director, 'Wedding Campaign' by director Hwang Byung-Guk, 'Grace Lee Project' by director Grace Lee, A Brand New Life by director Ounie Lecomte, 'Deep and blue night' by director Bae Chang-Ho, ' 'Ceux qui tombent ont des ailes'' by director Chang Gil-Su, etc.

 

This special presentation of overseas Koreans movies will feature seven movies two times respectively in the total 14 times and as director Jang Ryul of 'Duman River' and director Ounie Lecomte of A Brand New Life will have time for conversation with spectators, spectators can directly listen to directors intention of production and explanation about the movies from directors after movies presentation.

 

Acting president of Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF), Kim Gyung-Geun, who is preparing this special presentation of overseas Koreans movies, said that "this special presentation of overseas Koreans movies is a very special event which introduces movies of overseas Koreans movies directors well recognized at home and abroad and movies containing joys & sorrows of lives of overseas Koreans once again" and "OKF wishes the event will become a good opportunity for domestic spectators to have sympathy with a variety of lives of overseas Koreans which are reflected through movies."

 

Tickets of special presentation of overseas Koreans movies are free of charge and anyone can apply for the tickets from September 21, 2011 through the homepage of the World Korean Day (www.koreanday.go.kr) on a first-come-first-served basis.
