- It will go beyond merely business networking and strengthen the effectiveness of networking through mentoring between Hansang and domestic businessmen.

According to the Overseas Koreans Foundation, the 11th World Korean Business Convention will be held at COEX, Samsung-dong in Seoul on October 16-18.
- The world Korean business convention has been held every year since 2002, which is the representative Korean business festival where overseas Korean businessmen and domestic businessmen get together and establish networking.
Under the theme of ‘Global Korean Power, Hansang Network’, around 1,500 overseas Korean businessmen from 47 countries and around 5,000 executives and staff members from more than 350 small and medium sized businesses in the country will participate in this convention.
Especially, this convention pursues differentiation from the previous ones, and has a strategy for strengthening the effectiveness of Hansang networking by building mentoring between Hansang and domestic businessmen through seminar, forum and consultation on business so that it can go beyond merely business networking.
- ‘Business Exhibition’ regarded as the flower of The World Korean Business Convention will be held with total 391 booths including special zone for Seoul City, HIT 500 enterprises’ special zone from the Small and Medium Business Administration, etc. Proven 350 top companies in business competition, business stability, etc, have been rigidly selected for this exhibition. Through the exhibition, overseas and domestic businessmen will concentrate on producing tangible results and so the role of this convention that seeks opportunities for domestic small and medium companies to penetrate into global market can be strengthened.
-In addition, a business to business meeting between Hansang and domestic business which has been optimized after consultation with a business matching expert, an invitation meeting of buyers from distribution companies such as big department stores, distribution marts and international agencies that will bring practical help and the like will be held.
On October 16, the convention will start with the opening ceremony of Business Exhibition, and ‘Hansang Business Summit (Hansang FTA Forum, Seoul Business Forum) will be held.
- In Hansang FTA Forum, they will see what the conclusion of the FTA in Korea is and the direction of policy is, and will discuss a measure to penetrate into the global market by using FTA. In Seoul business Forum, Seoul City government that dreams of becoming one of the three Asian financial hubs will elaborate on the support policies for foreign-invested company and the successful cases.
On the second day, ‘Business Networking Seminars and Mentoring Session’ will be held by being classified by industry. It is expected that this will meet the latest global trends and provide a forum for business exchange among overseas and domestic businessmen.
- In the business service sector, they will discuss marketing strategy of small and medium sized businesses for exploring overseas market. In the textile and fashion sector, they will examine global strategy of Korean textile and fashion industry, and in the food and dining industry sector, they will discuss topics for globalization of Korean food. In high-tech industry sector, topics for spread of Korean wave and the role of high tech media industry are going to be addressed and this is expected to be helpful for Korean wave fever.
On the 18th, the special program ‘Hansang Talk Concert’ will be held. Since anyone can participate in this program, this is expected to become a good opportunity for forming a bond of sympathy with general people.
- Hansang Talk Concert will start with the lecture on the topic of ‘the future of Korea – direction for development of Hansang network’ by former Culture Minister Lee Eo-ryeong. Park Jong-beom(the chairman of Yeongsan Group Companies) from Hansang and Sheon who is an entertainer called a donating angel will be participate as panels for discussion.
Besides, luncheons and dinners hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Mayor of Seoul and the head director of Overseas Koreans Foundation, Korean franchise IR show luncheon, Leading CEO forum and Young business forum will be held. With the closing ceremony and the farewell luncheon, the World Korean Business Convention will end on the 18th.
