Young Business Leaders Forum Open Invitation for Participation
Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF) plans to host『The 131h World Korean business Convention』at BEXCO, Busan from Sep. 24(Wed) ~26(Fri). In conjunction with this convention, we plan to hold 『Young Business Leaders Forum』 by inviting young overseas Korean businessperson working in local industries. We look forward to hosting young overseas Korean businessperson who will become leaders of future.
1. Outline
○ Date : Sep. 23(Tue) -26(Fri), 2014
○ Venue : BEXCO, Busan
○ Participants : Approximately 50 new and 100 people more than once
(80% overseas, 20% domestic)
2. Programs
○ D-1(Sep.23, Tue)
- 14:00~16:00 : Registration and hotel check-in
- 16:00~18:00 : Orientation for new participants
- 18:00~20:00 : Dinner and ice breaking for all
○ Day 1(Sep.24, Wed)
- 10:00~12:00 : Opening Ceremony
- 14:00~17:00 : Young Business Leader Forum
○ Day 2(Sep.25, Thu)
- 10:00~17:00 : Business Networking Seminars
○ Day 3(Sep.26, Fri)
- 10:00~12:00 : Internal meeting
- 12:00~14:00 : Closing Ceremony & Farewell Luncheon

3. Application information
□ Requirements
○ Age : Under 45 years old
○ CEO or equivalent professional businessperson who have entered into mainstream societies as Overseas Koreans
○ Young business leaders who are successful or recognized as businessperson in residing countries while they are
recommended by Korean diplomatic offices and overseas Korean economic organizations
□ Selection procedures and schedule
○ Submit applications → Screen and select applicants by committee → Notify the results individually →
Convention registration(July) →Individual arrival
○ Period of Application : By May 23
○ Notification to participants : no later than June
※ Korean diplomatic offices and Individual notification for selectees only
□ Required Documents
○ An application form (with photo more than 100kb)
○ Korean or English resume (The form is not fixed)
○ Introduction of company or business MS PPT under 10 slides
- additional summarization of 2 slides (for printed)
○ Other evidence data of career (Only for those who are corresponding)
※ Articles in journals and newspapers, records of receiving awards, research and corresponding field thesis and etc
○ A copy of passport copy
※ A copy of Korean Id card is not accepted by Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
○ A copy among certificate of enrollment, certificate of career (Issued by company) and business license (certificate)
□ Submission methods
○ Submit through Korean diplomatic offices in each region
○ Submit through domestic Korean economic organizations
○ Directly submit via e-mail recommended by YBLN members
4. Support and Participation fee
□ Support of participants
○ Accommodation : 3Nights (9/23~9/25, 2 for1 room)
○ Meals : Official luncheons and banquets
○ Programs : Business programs, seminars & official programs and exhibition
※ Participants are responsible for airfare
□ Participation fee
○ New entry : No fee(free)
○ More than once : USD 300~450
※ The participation fee is subject to change depending on the hotel.

6. Applicants should meet the following conditions
○ The letter of recommendation and Consent form should be attached
○ Applications with lacking documents are not evaluated
○ Those who officially have been selected and attended YBLF more than once do not need to apply
(Registration of Hansang convention is necessary and will be informed)
○ Pre-check the deadline of application of Korean diplomatic offices
