This year's Cheonan K-Culture Expo, a celebration of Hallyu (Korean Wave), runs from May 22-26 at the Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do Province.
Under the theme "Global K-Culture Enthralling the World," the event will feature various programs like exhibitions, performances, interactive events and industry forums.
Exhibition halls by each theme such as beauty, food and webtoons and a Hangeul Zone will allow a comprehensive glance of the past, present and future of Korean culture. Industry academic seminars, K-pop World Audition, and permanent hall events for experiences and food are also scheduled.
Others include an air show by the Black Eagles, the Republic of Korea Air Force's aerobatics flight team, drone show, fireworks, foreign culture festival in Cheonan, children's musical and idol makeup demonstration.
Act presenting the essence of K-pop will perform like OH MY GIRL, g.o.d., Baek Ji-young, MeloMance, Dynamic Duo, Sandara Park, Roy Kim and Bada.
The Cheonan city government increased the operation of free shuttle and intercity buses to enhance visitor convenience. Twenty participating restaurants and food trucks in the area will sell their products at the food zone, plus a rest zone will accommodate around 900 people who wish to eat and drink there.

"We've finished all preparations to greet domestic and foreign visitors," Cheonan Mayor Park Sang-don said. "We'll do our best until the end so that the Cheonan K-Culture Expo can provide the platform and path of global cultural diplomacy."
