• For the first time, a status survey was conducted on the gravesites of three Korean independence activists in South America: Kim Gi-joo and Han Eung-gyu in Brazil, and Jang Deok-gi in Argentina.
• In addition, a status survey was carried out on the gravesites of independence activists Kim Jae-eun, Won Dae-sung, and Jung Sung-jang, who are buried in the United States.
• The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs has identified a total of 346 gravesites of independence activists in 18 countries. Out of these, the remains of 148 have been successfully repatriated to Korea.
