- ‘2010 Motherland Training of World Korean Youth and University Students’ will be held for seven days from August 3, 2010
- Over 280 people from 43 countries participate and have experiencing Korean tradition in seven regions including Hahoi Village of Andong and etc.
□ During summer vacation, overseas young Koreans and university students visit the motherland for learning and experiencing Korean culture.
□ Overseas Korean Foundation (OKF, president, Kwon, Young-Kon) has revealed on July 29, 2010 that the Foundation opens ‘2010 Motherland Training of World Korean Youth and University Students’ at Seoul Olympic ParkTel by inviting 280 overseas young Koreans and university students (229 from oversea and 51 from domestic Korea) from 43countries for seven days from the 3rd(Tue) to the 9th (Mon) of next month.
□ Together with domestic university students, participants of overseas young Koreans and university students will have various experiences such as Samulnori, fishing experiencing, providing helping hands for farming villages, actual practices of traditional foods and etc in seven villages including Hahoi Village of Andong, Oiam-Ri folk village of Chungnam, Ssamchae Village of Sokcho and etc.
□ In particular, on August 8, 2010 (Sun), all 280 participants in the training plan to perform ‘a great march of green transportation’ by riding bicycles throughout 50km starting from Peace Nuri Park of Imjingak to Seoul City Hall Plaza.

□ President, Kwon, Young-Kon said that “it will become a precious opportunity for young Koreans at home and abroad to respect diversity according to their origination places and to learn leadership as global next generation leaders” and “we have prepared programs for the youth and university students visiting the motherland to make good memories.”
□ On the other hand, motherland training of world Korean youth, which is cerebrating the 13the event in this year, has been prepared with the intention of support to invite Korean youth of each country of the world to have direct experiences of society, culture and history of the motherland in each year and through this, to help next generation of overseas Koreans to grow as main players of the global era with identity as Koreans.
