A memorial ceremony was hled in Harbin where Ahn Jung-Geun shot Ito Hirobumi.

The memorial ceremony was hosted by the Harbin Korean Association of China and organized by the Shenyang Council of the Advisory Council on Democratic and Peaceful Unification Committee at the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall at Harbin Station with around 40 people.

The Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall is situated at Harbin Railway Station in Heilongjiang Province. The hall was opened in January 2014, following the renovation of the VIP waiting room, which is located in front of the spot where Ahn assassinated Ito Hirobumi. However, it was later demolished in March 2017 due to the renovation of Harbin Railway Station. Fortunately, it was reconstructed at the same spot and reopened on March 21, 2019.

Ahn went abroad to raise an army when the country reached a colonial state, such as the abdication of Emperor Gojong and the dissolution of the army. In 1908, he became the commander of the army and entered Hamgyeongbuk-do Province, fighting against the Japanese army in Kyungheung and other areas.
Later, around 9 PM on October 26, Ahn took three shots at Ito Hirobumi at Harbin Railway Station and successfully assassinated him. After that, Ahn claimed the complete independence of his country and died on March 27 after being sentenced to death on February 14, 1910.
