The 8th Global Korean Politicians Forum was held at the Fairmont Ambassador Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, from August 16 to 18, 2022 for four days and three nights. The theme of this forum was “Beautiful Koreans, Dreaming of Peace.” Seventy participants from 13 countries participated online and in person to discuss peace and prosperity around the world and in their home countries, as well as ways to increase the political power of Koreans in each country, and to explore the history and culture of Korea. Chairman Seong-gon Kim delivered a special address on the topic of “Beautiful Koreans, Beautiful Politicians” on the first day of the forum.
On the first day of the forum, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jin Park delivered a congratulatory address to the participants at the welcome dinner.
Benedikt Lux, member of Berlin Parliament, presented “The Story of a Successful Korean Political Campaign” on the second day of the forum.
On the second day of the forum, participants discussed “The Role of Korean Politicians in Promoting Koreans' Rights and Interests.”
Representative Ye-won Lee of the German Bundestag gave an online presentation on “The Role of Korean Politicians for Peace and Prosperity in International Conflict” on the second day of the forum.
