The 17th Jeju Forum For Peace & Prosperity was held on Sep. 14–16, 2022 at the Jeju International Convention Center under the theme of “Beyond Conflict, Towards Peace: Coexistence and Cooperation.” As one of the sub-category programs, the Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF) opened up a seminar on Sep. 15 with its title as “Global Koreans’ Public Diplomacy for Peace and Coexistence.” The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the role of global Koreans in an age when the importance of public diplomacy is ever growing, and to raise its awareness. The presenters included the OKF Chairman Kim Sung-kon, First Lady Yumi Hogan of Maryland, and actor Park Sohee, a third-generation Korean in Japan who was featured in the popular show Pachinko.
